Playboy is seeking a Digital Analyst.  This role will report to the Digital Product/ Media Operations team and will be responsible for implementing, interpreting and transforming data into recommendations and actionable insights with the goal of improving and optimizing KPIs and results. The ideal candidate is passionate about research and data, comfortable working with a Data Management Platform plus other data aggregation tools to conduct deep dive analysis with the goal of extracting key insights, as well as to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure correct implementation of tags, testing and reporting, QA and data collection during all stages of development and marketing of digital properties.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Extract patterns from data and turn them into insights for strategy development and planning for the improvement of customer experience, audience development, optimizing conversion funnels, ROI analysis, and driving of revenue (digital subscriptions, e-commerce, upsells etc)
  • Develop, publish, and present weekly and monthly executive dashboards
  • Implement and customize Google Analytics to effectively track and analyze product and marketing activities
  • Manage the web analytics tag implementation, testing & reporting during the development of new digital properties, pages, marketing and affiliate campaigns.
  • Design data and analytics solutions to deliver meaningful product insights and prepare analytical reports on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis
  • Help identify and develop data collection strategies and visualization to support standard and ad-hoc reporting on KPIs that directly measure online campaigns, product and conversion funnel performance.
  • In partnership with other teams, articulate requirements to ensure we are able to track and report on all web, mobile, social, and in-store digital initiatives
  • Ensure that digital analytic tools are implemented properly to capture appropriate data to drive actionable insight and measure effectiveness of digital activities
  • Manage relationships with cross-functional business partners by providing objective information derived from data to support their functional areas
  • Apply industry best practices, intuition and rigorous testing methodologies to further the development of our site
  • Assist in developing testing strategies and execute A/B and MVT tests on the site in partnership with the marketing and customer experience teams
  • Answer ad-hoc business questions to drive site marketing strategies or troubleshoot performance issues
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in digital analytics
  • Other duties as needed 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • 3-5 years of digital or media analytics/BI experience working with development teams, marketing teams, executives, and product managers
  • In-depth understanding of website metrics and KPIs, including detailed knowledge of Google Analytics, and other web analytics packages
  • Advanced knowledge of utilizing statistical analysis tools
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Previous experience in designing, maintaining, and analyzing web metrics.
  • Ability to use data-driven and analytical approach to decision making
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related field experience required
  • Experience with data management platforms is a plus
  • Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail
  • Business knowledge to turn data insights into recommendations for specific, actionable plans
  • Strong communication skills to interpret data and tell stories with metrics to internal departments and broad audiences
  • Versatility and awareness of current trends to stay on top of industry evolution
  • Experience with subscription products and affiliate sites a strong plus
