  • Responsibilities


    • Produce photo shoots from start to finish. Photo shoots include celebrity features, model pictorials, reportage stories, and general editorial content on magazine, and digital Playboy platforms


    • Produce logistical elements of shoots, pulling permits, COIs, and Location Agreements. Secure crafty and catering. Liaise with equipment houses on eq orders and delivery


    • Coordinate with freelancers and agents to onboard all crew on set including Stylist, Hair and Makeup and Photo Team


    • Work as the main point of contact for outside vendors’ questions/needs


    • Act as the on-set lead producer and point person to oversee photo shoot flow and timing, and optimize the amount shot per day


    • Coordinate image orders and retouching schedule for on-time delivery for print and digital features


    • Manage and maintain shoot budgets


    • Handle invoice, payroll and expense paperwork for photographers, crew and external vendors


    • Work with magazine and digital section editors in researching and conceptualizing imagery for features


    • Coordinate with photographers' agents, estates, foundations, and image databases to secure rights and permission to run photographs across platforms; liaise with photo agencies to negotiate licensing fees for imagery


    • Create and maintain photo credits for each print issue


    • Contribute regularly to concept meetings by bringing visual ideas and new photographers to the table





    • Existing industry relationships with national and international photographers, wardrobe stylists, hair and makeup artists, and prop stylists, production crew and photo crews


    • Knowledge of equipment houses, location companies, prop houses, and catering companies


    • Experience working with both model agents and celebrity management


    • Ability to manage tight budgets while maintaining quality


    • Ability to work with art departments to meet visual desires while maintaining budget


    • Basic accounting knowledge, understanding of payroll systems and 1099 payments


    • Extensive knowledge of image rights and permissions, experience negotiating contracts


    • Working knowledge of notable stock photo agencies (i.e. Getty Images, Shutterstock, Alamy, etc.)  and ability to work with stock photo agencies to negotiate rates/licensing fees for imagery 


    • Up to date on current photographers and trends in the industry


    • Creative visual eye, preferably Bachelors in photography or media arts


    • Must be comfortable with nudity and erotic images


    • Must be willing to work full-time in our Westwood office location


    • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
